MicroMetl Energy Recovery Ventilation |
| Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) technology promises significant benefits by providing a means of energy conservation, reducing peak load demands on electric utilities; while assuring adequate outdoor air ventilation and improved humidity control of indoor environments.

ERV units reduce energy use by recycling space-conditioned air and transferring energy to the exhaust air before it leaves the building. ERV units, including enthalpy wheels, plate exchangers, and heat pipes are extremely efficient. Using a small input of fan energy to recover large amounts of heat and/or moisture; peak loads are substantially reduced for both cooling and heating. When properly selected and applied, enthalpy recovery can mitigate the latent load of ventilation, automatically adjusting to the changing sensible heat ratio of the outside air and make an important contribution to the control of indoor humidity.

ERV technology has become a widely available and cost-effective option for most Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems. |
